Depicting the Father in icon is unbiblical. That's terrible.
What do You mean ? :-\
The Father is depicted here in icon. What the heck?
The Father cannot be seen. He dwells in unapproachable light (1 Tim 6). Why is it OK to depict Him in image? Or the Holy Spirit?
I understand the Son, OK. But the other 2?
The icon is typological. (The Logos, though, is nonetheless present there, amidst the other two Holy Angels).
The Ancient Of Days is the Son, so the other icon is incorrect, showing practically two Sons or two Christs.
And the Spirit appears depicted as a Dove in the Baptism icon, and as tongues of fire in the Pentecost icon, as it wellpleased Him to appear unto us.
I see no dove nor tongues of fire in these two icons.
If these do not then represent the Trinity, why did you call this post the "Most-Holy and Life-Giving Trinity"? It's misleading.
Do you agree that it is blasphemous to represent the Father in icon?
The icon is typological, as I've already explained. (There can be no "brutal" icon of the Holy Trinity, if that's what You have in mind). It is either this icon, or no icon at all.
It is unOrthodox to represent the Father in icon, since all of the Old Testament Theophanies are Christophanies. (This is a Patristic axiom).
